Some frequently asked questions and information on your facial
-
This is a holistic facial rooted in Anthroposophic skincare. It is a deeper understanding of your skin, how it is linked to your emotions and your overall general health. Anthroposophical skincare products from Weleda support the skin and every facial is bespoke for your individual skin.

Yes, every facial booked will include a full consultation so I can learn about your skin and you as a whole, before the treatment begins.
This is an opportunity for me to get a good overall understanding of your skin, what you do on a daily basis, and any concerns or problems you may have
You can also book a stand alone consultation if you wish to discuss your skin before booking a facial. There will be a charge for this service
-
Absolutely! This is so much more than a facial alone, and is a reset for your skin, mind, body and soul.
Every movement, direction and depth have a therapeutic purpose, and is designed to balance the rhythm in your skin, and also calm your nervous system
-
Every facial starts with a warming lavender foot soak while the consultation takes place. With the exception of the shorter facials, each treatment will include a full holistic facial, a chest and upper arm massage, concluding with a foot massage. The ultimate 2 hour package will include lower arm ,hand, lower leg and foot massage in addition to the above. Please see the services section on the main menu for more detailed information about each treatment.

Yes, and this is a special interest of mine. I have undergone training in challenging skin conditions such as rosacea, acne and very dry or sensitive skin.
My approach is often very different to the mainstream one, and clients report significant positive improvements with their skin.
-
This depends entirely on what your skin needs. Clients often book regular appointments of between 4-6 weeks between facials, and benefit from the well-being aspect as well as the skincare.
Problem skin will often need a more intensive course, with very challenging skin requiring weekly or fortnightly appointments until the skin is strengthened and becoming more resilient.
Others choose to book when they are on holiday from work, or wish to have a one off facial.
It is entirely up to you, but I am very happy to guide you on how often your skin would benefit from treatments.
-
There are some situations where caution is advised or when it may not be suitable for you to receive a facial.
These are:
When receiving treatment for cancer
The first trimester of pregnancy
Having undergone recent surgery
Cold sores, impetigo, or any other infectious skin condition
Severe skin conditions
Allergies to essential oils, nut or seed oils
If in doubt, please ask at the time of booking
-
Whatever you feel comfortable in!
For the full holistic facial you will be asked to remove all of your top layers including your bra and will be given towels to protect your modesty.
You will be given privacy to undress
